Newsela Article

In Tuesday class we had a Newsela Article. The article was about fast foot jobs and how they overwork minors. In the article we read multiple people’s POV and how their schedule affected their school work. We also had a quiz and a writing prompt. These quizzes will help us in the EOC.

 In yesterday’s class we took a Benchmark. The Bench mark took up the entire class period. It was a block schedule day. The Benchmark was split into two parts, one about the Presidents Kennedys speech, and another on FDR Second Bill of Rights. Native American Literature

In today’s class we learned about Native American Literature. We discussed what we knew about Native Americans, what’s we wanted to know about Native Americans, and what we learned. We learned that Native Americans had a lot of their history and culture wiped and they were liked to tell stories. We learned the difference between Myth, Legend, and Religion. And we took notes about it all.

Vocabulary fill in

In yesterday’s class Mr. Rease was out and we had a sub. She’s gave us a sheet of paper and told us to put in ten vocab words given to us in the blanks. There were 20 questions and ten words. Each word needing to be used twice. Mr. Rease will be here today and we will finish up our test.
